Zheng Wei Gu, AKA "Guwiez," is one of the best known digital illustrators in the concept art genre. Guweiz is best known for his imagination invoking renderings of elaborate women warriors. From samurais with ultra-long katanas to futuristic vixens to beautifully surreal portraits - Guweiz runs the gamut on gorgeous female illustration.
Guweiz began his artistic journey at the age of 17 years old and was inspired by, of all things, youtube tutorials on anime art. It just goes to show you what you can learn on youtube - if you have some raw talent and dedication. Guweiz had just that - talent and commitment, and he utilized them both. He quickly acquired a significant following that fueled him to push his artistic calling. We're thrilled he never let up so we could make him this month's Artist Spotlight.
